As the Capricorn full moon graces our skies for the second time consecutively, a lot of curiosity is around what this full moon can help release. How Capricorn full moon will affect you is dependent on which house it is falling in for your rising sign, but generally, full moons are a time for releasing and new moons are a time for manifesting. It is usually advised not to actively manifest during eclipses and full moons as the energy is chaotic. You may have felt your emotions bubble up in the few days leading up to the full moon or even just on the day of the full moon. Usually, people associate negative emotions rising at the full moon- you become too cranky or depressed or manic in extreme cases- but that’s not true. Whatever emotion is predominantly present will be enhanced during the full moon. Sometimes you are seemingly fine but suddenly you are angry around the full moon, don’t fret, it is pent up anger getting released during the full moon.
Feel the emotions and let them pass. I feel finding a source of channelling that energy is crucial to keep you calm and cool. For example, journaling helps me make sense of my emotions and rationalise them. Yeah, I know, rationalising emotions is futile as you often don’t feel what you feel on purpose, you just do, but understanding why you feel it, is an important step to regulate yourself. Whether good or bad, emotions of any extreme are not great for you or the people around you. If you find yourself throwing tantrums and getting irritated or cranky during the full moon or the week leading up to the full moon- and if you mensurate on or around the full moon, good luck!
Nah, just kidding, it is probably that you are in sync with the moon phases and you are releasing “bad blood” literally and figuratively, when the moon is at its full glory. That is a beautiful thing and many women wish they were in the red moon cycle as these women are passionate, extroverted and sexual. However, learning to talk to yourself to understand where your head is at is a key point in regulating extreme highs and lows of mood swings. Journaling as I said, can help but let’s be honest, nobody likes talking to a wall. Seek out a trusted confidant in a friend or boyfriend or anybody really and let them listen to you. It can feel like you are in over your head and everything feels hopeless because you are not good enough or that you ruin everything with your anger- that’s good. You have figured out that your low mood is caused by esteem issues and anger by feeling unheard and uncared for. You yell and make a ruckus because nobody listened to you otherwise. You felt abandoned in the cold.
Yeah, sometimes emotions don’t have a meaning behind them and they are just static points in your day that come and switch up your mood, but every recurrent emotion that comes or stays, has a reason for it to be there. You want to feel better about yourself? Find out where is that emotion coming from and then release it through talking to yourself, journaling, telling a friend about it or seeking professional help. It is usually better to have it spoken or written than just doing activities that ‘release’ the feeling of the emotion in my personal opinion. And I feel if such an opportunity does arise for you to figure out some pent up emotions and release them, you must do it. Because only in letting go of your old patterns that kept you in the low vibrational energy of stuck emotions, can you make space for new manifestations to take place or allowing what you have been manifesting to take form in your reality.
I know we talked extensively about releasing emotions, but full moons are also a great catalyst for releasing outdated thought patterns, behaviours, people who are toxic, environments that are bad for you and stuck energies. This full moon, pick what most needs releasing and do so in a calm and safe manner. And it is also okay if you don’t do anything this full moon. Resting and rejuvenating is also important. 🙂
